MARK OKRANT
Mark Okrant is a professor at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. He has been an active tourism researcher since the mid-1970s, having plied his trade in South Dakota, New Hampshire, Maine, Alaska, Canada, and Romania. Mark is past president of the prestigious Travel and Tourism Research Association.
I Knew You When (2007) is his newest mystery, the second in the Kary Turnell mystery series that are set in grand resort hotel locations. First in the series is A Last Resort. Judson's Island (1995), not a Kary Turnell mystery, was his first mystery novel. Sleeping Alongside the Road (2006) is based on one aspect of Mark's scholarly research in tourism.
Mark is back in his writer’s retreat working on a third Kary Turnell mystery, The first surprise will be what resort he selects.
Mark and his wife Marla live in New Hampshire and are the parents of two grown daughters. |
